Join Susanville Farmers Market for our final Night Market of the 2023 season next Wednesday, September 20th from 5pm - 8:30pm at the Pancera Plaza (50 S. Gay Street, Susanville). We're talking fresh, locally grown produce, fresh baked goods, locally raised meats, artisans, food vendors, beer booth, glow sticks, live DJ, and more! We are all about supporting local over here. Crafts include: leaf and apple wreath, paper plate apple face, and apple pouch. Be sure to “Stick” around for a science demonstration, and don’t “Leaf” without taking both a craft and science experiment you can do at home! Lassen High School Cheerleaders presents Little Grizzlies Cheer Clinic on Saturday, September 23, 2023 from 9:00am to 3:00pm in the Lassen High School Big Gym. Registrations will be Saturday morning from 8:30am to 9:00am. Camp will start right at 9:00am. $40 per child (Camp includes Camp T-Shirt, Bow, & Snack). Please have your camper wear a loose-fitting T-shirt, shorts, or warm up pants (no jeans), & tennis shoes. Please have hair pulled out of face. NO GUM and please, NO JEWELRY. Campers that attend will learn to Stretch, Jump, Stunt, & a few Chants. They will also learn a Cheer and a Dance that they will be performing. Campers will receive their T-Shirt & Bow on the day they perform. Participants will be performing at the Lassen High School Homecoming Jr. Varsity Football Half-Time Game on Friday, September 29 th . Lassen Sportsmen’s Club presents the 2023 Junior Fishing Derby and says the Fishing Durby is still on for September 30th. I hope all the members and the volunteers who will be in town that day will be able to come out and help. The Susanville Assembly of God Church is holding a Vendor Fair and Flea Market September 30th to help the church raise funds for a new boiler. In our community, Lassen College presents a unique opportunity to engage in various enriching discussions with their free lunchtime lecture series.
